In Thailand, they say, "never try, never know", and that's exactly what we did when we embarked on a journey to change the world with our startup, AAHI, back in 2016.

Our aim was to reduce food waste in the food sector by providing a platform for surplus food to be sold at discounted prices. We researched thoroughly, selected our technology stack wisely, and outsourced the project to top experts. We hired a reputable agency to build our marketplace app, but as time passed, progress was non-existent. 

After weeks and months of waiting, our CTO, Alexis, reviewed the code produced and it was a complete disaster. There was a lack of proper architecture, and the technology approach was flawed. We had to terminate our partnership with the agency and take on the development ourselves.

Despite having robust and sophisticated technology, AAHI never reached its break-even point. But through this journey, we realised that our true passion lies in building technology and that's how Apexive came to be.
